Media Reports
Kathmandu, in Nepal, is dominated by the Himalayas which cover much of the country and it has some of the best trekking anywhere in the world - Siem Reap, in Cambodia, is the gateway to the temples of Angkor Wat, said to be the world's largest single religious monument. Although these cities are booming on the back of tourism, the benefits have not trickled down to the majority of the population and, while they are rich in history, culture and ecological diversity, they are, sadly, in great need and rate as two of the most poorest nations in the world.
Dr Colin Woodley, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Nepcam Trust Aid Fund, has written a number of articles about his numerous visits to both of these countries and now travels to both Nepal and Cambodia every six months, spending three weeks in each country.
After each visit, Colin has written an article on one or more of his experiences amongst the poor. The articles have provided some inside knowledge of the personal hardships and sufferings experienced by the Nepalese and Cambodian families, but what has quite clearly shined through on all of the articles is the friendliness, hospitality and warmth that these people exclude, despite their poor conditions and circumstances.
Nepcam regularly publishes articles in journals and magazines as well as local and national newspapers and other media publications. On this page you will find a copy of our most recent media releases including footage put together on Nepcam by SBS.
The documentary and some of Dr Woodley's stories appear on the attached pages.
It is certain that no other aid agency can give better value for a sponsor’s dollar!
